The program is developed to support the Environmental Services
Professional, Infection Preventionists, and Administration by enhancing their
knowledge of infection prevention with a focus on precautions, the environment,
and appropriate safety measures. Participants will take part in a four
hour training program that includes donning and doffing personal protective
equipment, the infection control risk assessment process, and more.
Participants are asked to bring gloves, masks, and gowns for an interactive
activity.Who Should Attend?

Upon completion of this 4 hour program, participants will be able to:
the different types of personal protective equipment (PPE) most frequently used
and under what circumstances.
general infection prevention and control techniques.
- List at least three types of isolation.
- Explain the purpose of an infection control
risk assessment (ICRA) and participate in a ICRA exercise.
- Participate in PPE donning and doffing skill
Norma D. Collins, RN, BS,
Miss Collins is currently Vice President of Clinical Services for RB Health
Partners. She has worked over 30 years in roles with increasing responsibility
in acute, sub-acute, and long-term care. Her positions in direct
patient/resident care and in middle management include CNA, Assistant
Administrator, Charge Nurse, DONs, and Nursing Administration and Long Term
Care Service Liaison.

complete the full seminar will not receive a refund unless prior written

This seminar has been approved for 4 contact hours for nursing facility administrators by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Long-Term Care
Administrators and 4.5 contact
by the Kentucky Board of Nursing for RN/LPNs.
