Seminar Description

This six hour program embraces the CMS guidance on quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) and adds an important twist of risk as it relates to root cause analysis.  QAPI has not replaced QAA but rather enhances it. Recognizing that QAPI is the application of two aspects of quality management: Quality Assurance as an ongoing anticipatory and retrospective process and Performance Improvement as the continuous study focused on decreasing the likelihood of problems. This program will support participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of not only the five elements of QAPI but how to apply them in their day to day work. Participants will explore each individual element and compare to standard operations to create their pathways to success as they enhance their organized method of performing day-to-day business to achieve optimum results involving all levels of their organization.
